About The Author

I've spent much of my life helping young people discover the joys of language, literature, and learning.
Before becoming a children's author, I taught French in Kentucky, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, including 16 years at Dover High School. I earned my master's degree in French Literature from the University of Kentucky and studied French history at La Sorbonne in Paris.
Throughout my teaching career, I had the pleasure of introducing students to French language and culture, both in the classroom and through educational travel. My work in world-language education has been recognized with several honors, including having the Janis Hennessey World Language Teacher of Excellence Award named in my honor.
Today, I continue supporting French language and culture through my work with the Franco-American Centre of New Hampshire.
And, of course, I write books!
I'm the author of more than 20 children's books across three series: Max & Colby Adventures, The "Why Did?" Series, and The 3Ds Mysteries. My stories introduce young readers to friendship, everyday adventures, questions worth asking, and mysteries waiting to be solved.
Writing children's books has given me another wonderful way to do what I've always enjoyed: helping children learn, think, and use their imaginations.
